How to rent an apartment in Belgium
The economic conditions, the booking process, the paperwork, and the checkin procedure.
Step by Step
Submit your application to the Globexs rental department
Get in touch with us and one of our rental agents will get in touch with you to start the process. Make sure you fully understand the economic conditions correctly so avoid surprises.
Present the paperwork to your rental agent
Send the necessary documentation (more info below) to your dedicated rental agent. Once your application is approved you will receive a booking confirmation or a (proforma) invoice.
Make the payment of the first (proforma) invoice
Proceed to the payment of the first (proforma) invoice. Your booking is now pre-confirmed, and you are almost ready to pack your bags.
Understand and sign the rental contract
Your rental agent will send you the rental contract. Once you have signed the contract your reservation is confirmed.
Wait for checkin instructions from your rental agent
Once you have signed the rental contract we start preparing your apartment. A few days before your arrival we get in touch with you with the practical arrangements.

Visit the Globexs support website where all your questions regarding the booking process, payments, checkin, etc, are answered.
The economic conditions
Once your application is approved you will receive a proforma invoice. You will be asked to pay the following:
- The first month’s rent
- The Globexs agency fee
- The deposit
- The linen / concierge fee
Monthly rent: Your rental agent confirms the monthly rent for this apartment.
Globexs agency fee:
- 350€ + vat 21% for bookings between 1-2 months (450€ if the monthly rent is 2000€ or higher)
- 650€ + vat 21% for bookings between 3-5 months (750€ if the monthly rent is 2000€ or higher)
- 1200€ + vat 21% for bookings between 6-11 months (1400€ if the monthly rent is 2000€ or higher)
Deposit: Your rental agent confirms the deposit amount for this apartment.
Linen / concierge fee: The linen / concierge fee for this apartment is 150€ + vat.
The paperwork
Nobody likes paperwork, but it needs to be done. In order to approve your application we need a bunch of information from your side. Pick your category below to check the necessary documentation to rent this apartment.

- CIF of the company
- Proof that the person signing the contract is the legal representative of the company
- DNI / passport of each person that is going to stay at the apartment
- Email / phone number of each person that is going to stay at the apartment
- Reason for the stay in Belgium
- Copy of the employment contract
- Proof of income for the last 3 months
- Permanent address

- The reason for your temporary stay in Belgium
- Financial evidence to confirm that you have enough financial liquidity to cover the rent of the complete stay (e.g. a current bank account statement).
